Agapito G. Flores is a Filipino inventor who invented the funnel of the fluorescent light tube.
Born September 28, 1987, he is from unfortunate family in Guiguinto, Bulacan.
Because of poverty, he did not finish his high school. He works as an apprentice in a machine shop, and even he has no wealth his ambition gives him hope. He transferred to Tondo, Manila and he takes an Electric Course from a vocational school. After a couple of months, he applied for a job.
He conducts experiments about light and its common uses typically at night. He wants to discover a type of light that shines like the sun. And his efforts takes a short period of time and discovers a device that we use now everyday.
His invention was introduced to President Manuel L. Quezon. The president was surprised on Flores’ discovery. He was amaze that a tube made of glass can be use to produce light. But still, his invention did not acknowledged by the president. But, it is a coincidence that a visitor from France saw the invention of Flores while he presents it to the president. He convinces Flores to go in France in help of the government. In France, his invention received a french patent. And this patent was purchased by the General Electric Company of America for their experiments.

Even Agapito Flores is not the first inventor of the fluorescent bulb; the General Electric recognized his works for contributing in this bulb known as Fluorescent Bulb that we used today.
